Our Fee Structure
The Australian Psychological Society’s ‘Recommended Schedule of Fees 1 July 2023 – 30 June 2024’ sets a standard 46-60 minute consultation at $300.
At North Light Psychology, we aim to keep our fee structure below that of the APS recommended schedule.
Our fee structure is as follows:
Consultation fee $245 (50 mins)
If you have been referred by a GP or Psychiatrist on a Mental Health Care Plan you may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $93.35

Full consultation fees are payable on the day of your appointment.
Payment can be made by direct deposit or card (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, EFTPOS, Google Pay or Apple Pay).
You may be asked to provide your credit card details at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
Please note **North Light PSYCHOLOGY provides treatment and therapy only. We DO NOT prepare reports for insurance purposes (e.g. Workcover/NDIS etc), legal proceedings (e.g. family or criminal law etc) or lawyers, nor act as an expert witness or advocate. Please discuss an alternative referral with your referrer/doctor if this is required.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance you may be able to claim a rebate for psychological services.
Please contact your private health insurance company to determine if you are eligible.
Cancellation Policy
When an appointment is booked, this time is reserved especially for the client.
The following cancellation policy is in place so we can offer this time to another person who may be on a cancellation or wait list.
Cancellations 0-24hrs will incur the full consultation fee
Cancellations 24-48hrs will incur 50% of the consultation fee
The full consultation fee will be invoiced for an appointment where the person misses the appointment and does not attend. If you are late for an appointment, your session may be less than 50 minutes in duration. Please be advised our cancellation policy will be strictly applied for missed/late/cancelled appointments.
Cancellations will be invoiced using credit card details provided at the time of booking. New bookings can be made when previous cancellations/missed appointments are settled.
